Present article is dedicated to the study of the influence of adipokines (leptin, resistin, the tumor necrosis factor-α , adiponektin) and ghrelin in the patients with chronic hepatitis C with insulin resistance. The factors, combined with the development of insulin resistance, were established. The activation of the adipokines system was manifested in an increase in the secretion of FNO- α, leptin, resistin, whose level was reliably connected with insulin resistance , even in patients with the normal weight. The most informative indicator in predicting insulin resistance was reduced secretion of ghrelin.
Revealed correlation interrelations with BMI, waist-to-hip ratio; liver steatosis, by insulin and by HOMA- index allows to regard decrease in ghrelin and activation adipokines system as a component involved in the formation of insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome in patients with chronic hepatitis C.
