В статье на основе анализа зарубежной и отечественной научной литературы систематизирована информация о явлении геронтологического эйджизма. Геронтологический эйджизм рассматривается как дискриминация, пренебрежительное отношение или унижающие человеческое достоинство практики, реализуемые на основе негативной возрастной стереотипизации, а также сами негативные возрастные стереотипы в отношении людей старших возрастных групп. Доказывается, что эйджизм имеет открытую и латентную формы; реализуясь на институциональном и бытовом уровне в различных сферах жизнедеятельности человека, может быть преднамеренным и непреднамеренным. Характеризуются специфические проявления эйджизма в отношении старших возрастных групп и их негативные последствия в виде социальной эксклюзии и инфантилизации пожилых людей. Выделяются основные причины возникновения геронтологического эйджизма в современном обществе, определяются пути его преодоления.
The information on the phenomenon of a gerontological ageism is systematized in the article on the basis of foreign and domestic scientific literature analysis. The gerontological ageism is considered as the discrimination, negligence or the practices humiliating human dignity realized on the basis of negative age stereotypification, and also negative age stereotypes concerning people of the senior age groups. It is proved that the ageism has open and latent forms; being realized at the institutional and household level in various spheres of person’s activity, can be deliberate and inadvertent. The specific manifestations of an ageism concerning the senior age groups and their negative consequences in the form of social exclusion and an infantilization of elderly people are characterized. The main reasons for gerontological ageism emergence in modern society are allocated, ways of its overcoming are defined.
