Статья посвящена особенностям становления и развития международных рынков энергетических товаров. Отмечается, что возникновение международного рынка угля тесно связано с переходом ко второму энергетическому порогу (появление универсального двигателя - паровой машины). Роль угля также возросла с переходом к третьему энергетическому порогу (производство электроэнергии). Мировой нефтяной рынок в значительной степени сформировался после изобретения и массового производства двигателя внутреннего сгорания. Формирующийся в настоящее время мировой рынок сжиженного газа основывается, прежде всего, на стремлении ослабить экологическое давление энергетики на внешнюю среду. Однако в ближайшем будущем существенных изменений в структуре мирового рынка энергоресурсов, по-видимому, не произойдет, хотя можно ожидать роста удельного веса электроэнергии, производимой на основе возобновляемых источников энергии.

The article looks at specific features of formation and development of international energy markets. The author notes that origination of the international coal market is closely related to the switch to the second energy threshold which was the result of the steam engine invention. The role of coal increased following the switch to the third energy threshold (generation of electricity). The world oil market came into being largely as the result of international combustion engine having been invented and produced en masse. The world gas market which is currently in the making is mostly based on the desire to reduce the power industry’s environmental pressure. Yet significant changes in the structure of the world energy market are not likely to occur in the near future, although the share of electric energy produced from renewables may be expected to increase.
