It was found that the level of trust between the citizens doesn´t depend on stages of a life cycle. There were examined the reasons for changes in the level of interpersonal trust on the example of Spain. The Spanish case has shown that democratic legitimacy and the level of social trust can be developed independently of each other. Determined that the measurement of the level of social capital in society must necessarily include data on membership in more traditional organizations, such as parties and trade unions. The analysis of the development of social capital in new democracies. It was found that the desire to create social capital through the socialization of citizens do not always necessarily lead to success.
