The analysis of the current literature on the effectiveness of lymphadenectomy in cancer of the corpus uteri and ovarian cancer. It is known that the presence of lymph node metastasis is one of the most important prognostic factors for endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer, but the approach to the assessment of lymph nodes is one of the most controversial issues in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer of this localization. Currently, the efficiency and scope of lymphadenectomy as endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer many researchers have been questioned, and its adoption as a routine procedure depends on the country. Although most cancers agree with the use of lymphadenectomy in patients with advanced stages of the disease, and even in the early stages of the disease in patients with high risk, widely discussed the need to find a more optimal surgical treatment of patients with endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer.
