Статья посвящена вопросам идентичности и ее конструированию в современном мире с точки зрения социологической теории Э. Гидденса. Обсуждаются его взгляды на этот социальный феномен в условиях модерна. Имеет место кризис самоидентичностей, происходящий в результате плюрализации сообществ, ценностей и знания в посттрадиционном обществе. Влияние далеких событий на ближайшие и разнообразие возможностей идентификации своего «Я» становится все более распространенным явлением. Индивиду постоянно поставляется новая информация, и окружающая реальность непрерывно находится в состоянии конструирования, ее создание никогда не заканчивается, а, следовательно, так или иначе индивид начинает ставить под сомнение действительность и самого себя, и он постоянно конструирует свою идентичность. Индивид реализует свою свободную волю, чтобы сформировать образ того, кто он, кем он хочет быть, как хочет чтобы его воспринимали, хотя такая «свобода воли» ориентирована на ценности, которые, в свою очередь, являются социальным продуктом. «Я» индивида становится собственным рефлексивно организованным стремлением. Динамика выбора и неопределенности ведет к прогрессирующему ослаблению социальной структуры общества.
The article deals with the problem of identity and its construction in the contemporary word by the sociological theory of A. Giddens, discusses his view of this social phenomenon in terms of modernity, change and multiplicity of individual choice of the Self-identity, and its impact on the individual. In the post-traditional society being reflexively organized permeated abstract systems in which a new order of time and globalizing space reunites the local and the global, "I-Self" of the individual experiencing the appropriate changes. According to A. Giddens such questions as: "What should I do ?", "How to act? ", "Who is to be?" are the main ones and coordinating life for all who are in conditions of late modernity. Crisis of Self-identity occurs as a result of communities pluralization, values and knowledge posttraditional society. Influence of distant events on the next ones, and the variety of possibilities of identification of the "I-Self", is becoming common. Individual incessantly is supplied by new information, and the surrounding reality is continuously designed, its creation never ends and man always constructs his identity. Individual realizes his free will to form an image of who he is what he wants to be, as he wants to be seen, although this "free will" is focused on the values which are a social product. "I-Self" becomes an individual ´s own reflexively organized desire. Dynamics of choice and uncertainty leads to progressive weakening of the social structure.
